Calcutta 04:17
Raised in Calcutta I've been trading away my whole life Sadness for numbness, numbness for bliss I can't imagine anything else but this I'm hacking off the parts that I'd like to hear I'm choking on the words of the things I like I'm getting good at throwing away what I want Right after I make amends I've spent half my life trying to get in the ground I'll spend half my life trying to get back out I've spent half my life getting ready to go I'll spend half my life making my way back home I've spent half my life remembering lines I'll spend half my life clearing my mind I've spent half my life avoiding my work I'll spend half my life trying to come to terms I'm trying to come to terms These things happen to other people all the time This one's not an exception for mine

"Hey man, what's your problem now?" TV on try and drown it out But I can't get signal All that comes through is static and a hum. I don't laugh at the things I used to like It's not bad but something isn't right I don't want to face this I grab the remote and force the volume up The static it turns into a ball And it spreads up and down my walls Until I'm surrounded But I ignore it and change the channel But I won't leave even after I pull the plug
